America’s Got Talent Season 21 returned on Tuesday night for the final round of auditions. There were no Golden Buzzers left to push for this season, but the judges were still impressed by several acts. The episode ended with the panel deliberating on which acts should go to the live shows.
AGT Season 21 Auditions Wrap Up
One notable act from this week’s new episode of AGT was actually three acts in one. A comedian managed to audition three separate times, in different costumes. First, he dressed like judge Howie Mandel and told punny jokes related to the famous comedian.
Later, he returned dressed as a cat, telling feline puns. The judges weren’t impressed by his first two auditions, and Mel B recognized him as the previous auditioner. However, when he came out a third time dressed as the devil, he won over some of the panel. Although Simon Cowell buzzed the act, he earned three “yes” votes.
The judges were also wowed by family band The Sound, who performed “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. As Sofia Vergara said, “America’s gonna fall in love with you.” Another impressive musical act was Pynk Beard, who shared that he’s the songwriter behind “Scars to Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara. The panel loved his original song “My Lord Willing,” with Cowell saying he’d press the Golden Buzzer if he could.
Blind singer Sarah Hardwig also impressed the panel with her performance of “Heart Like a Truck” by Lainey Wilson. Howie Mandel called her “inspiring,” and she earned four “yes” votes. Another inspiring act was contortionist Maria, who shared that she was paralyzed when she was younger. The judges couldn’t believe the shapes she made with her body — even fitting into a tiny box.
During Tuesday night’s show, a group of law enforcement from Southern California called Los Servidores took the stage to put a mariachi spin on the song “Walking on Sunshine.” They earned four “yes” votes, as did skateboarding group ManRamp.
The AGT judges were also wowed by 19-year-old magician Aidan Corcoran, who managed to guess the name of an audience member’s best friend and then made a dollar bill reappear in judge Sofia Vergara’s hand after burning it up. To make things even more impressive, the bill’s serial number matched the birthdate of the audience member’s friend.
Vergara called Aidan a “superstar,” predicting that it’s “just the beginning” for him, while Mel B asked, “What just happened?!” Cowell said there’s “an air of mystery” about Aidan. The young magician earned four “yes” votes from the AGT panel.
The Judges Begin to Deliberate
At the end of Tuesday night’s new episode of AGT Season 21, the show’s judges began to deliberate on which acts should go to the live shows. There are only 44 spots, and 10 of them are already claimed by this season’s Golden Buzzer recipients.
That leaves 34 spots to fill, out of the many auditions that earned the panel’s vote to move on. The judges were unsure about a number of acts, so Simon Cowell suggested bringing several acts back to perform again. This new round will be called the Judges’ Callbacks.
