The American Idol finale is going to be nothing short of amazing. The show’s biggest night will feature tons of performances during the three-hour episode. Before crowning the winner of Season 19 on Sunday night, superstar artists will join some of the eliminated contestants from this season in epic collaborations.

Eliminated ‘American Idol’ Contestants are Coming Back to the Finale to Perform with Huge Artists

Cassandra Coleman

The first duet that was announced today is Cassandra Coleman and Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham was fired from Fleetwood Mac in 2018. The pair will be performing the band’s 1977 hit “Go Your Own Way.” Buckingham previously underwent emergency open-heart surgery in 2019 and has been slowly getting back into the music scene since then.

After American Idol’s Disney Night episode, Cassandra was eliminated along with Alyssa Wray and Deshawn Goncalves. Cassandra, a coffee shop manager was known for her unique vocal style that always managed to have Lionel Richie up on his feet. She was even expected by some to make it into the Top 5.

“This experience has been beautiful and life-changing,” Cassandra said after her elimination. “It has set a whole new path for my life, and I’m so excited to continue this musical journey. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.”

The Male Finalists

We fully expected American Idol to roll out more performance announcements including a special collaboration with the male finalists. They will be joining Fall Out Boy up on stage at the finale for a rockstar performance. Graham DeFranco hinted during our exclusive interview that he would be traveling this week and that we should look out for him this Sunday. We think this is the performance he was hinting at.

Deshawn Goncalves

Deshawn will be performing with legendary singer Chaka Khan. Khan previously competed on the third season of The Masked Singer. The 10-time Grammy Award winner’s music career spans over five decades and she is the definition of a vocal powerhouse.

“I cannot wait to sing with thee one and only @chakaikhan this Sunday ! This is another dream come true, nothing but a blessing,” Deshawn wrote on Instagram.

Murphy

There is also some huge and heartwarming news for American Idol fans! Murphy will be joining the lineup for the show’s finale. He was shockingly eliminated before the live shows this season and the internet was absolutely outraged. The impact that he made on viewers is incredible and he is more than deserving to be brought back for the finale.

Alyssa Wray

Fans of Perryville, Kentucky standout Alyssa Wray will be happy to hear that she will get another shining moment at the finale. Alyssa, whose elimination came as a mega shock to fans, will be teaming up with American Idol alum Mickey Guyton for a special performance.

Arthur Gunn

Arthur Gunn will be performing with Sheryl Crow at the finale. Arthur was brought back during “The Comeback” episode and eliminated in the Top 7. Since he never got to perform a celebrity duet on stage at the finale for Season 18, this will be an awesome experience for fans of the Nepali singer.

Which eliminated contestants are you excited to see brought back to sing during the finale?
