Dancing With the Stars returned to Disney+ tonight with the highly anticipated Michael Bublé night. Pairs danced to Bublé’s music, then got an additional score from the singer himself. The night ended with a rather shocking elimination.
This night on Dancing With the Stars was nothing less than amazing. While some celebrities remained on the top, others unfortunately fell to the bottom of the leaderboard.
One of the stars that unfortunately fell to the bottom of the leaderboard was Vinny Guadagnino and KoKo Iwasaki. Unlike other weeks, the judges commented on the fact that he hasn’t been progressing at the same rate as others. They gave the pair 36 out of 50 points, each judge awarded them seven points, except Michael Bublé, who gave them an eight.
Technically speaking, many expected Wayne Brady and Witney Carson to be on the bottom alongside them. After tons of fan speculation, Wayne explained they began rehearsing on Friday because he was under the weather. The dance was extremely impressive for two days of performance, the judges gave the pair 44 out of 50 points. Many were shocked that nothing was mentioned about Witney’s Cancun trip, or the fact that her son was sick.
Carrie Ann Inaba Says Shangela Has “What it Takes” to Win
One of the biggest compliments given was awarded to Shangela and Gleb Savchenko. The pair kicked off the show with a steamy tango. Their dance was so breathtaking that Carrie Ann Inaba said they have “what it takes…to win this competition.” They earned their highest score yet, 45 out of 50 points.
Alongside Shangela and Gleb was Trevor Donovan, who was compared to Robert Redford. Trevor and Emma Slater took the ballroom tonight with a beautiful, old Hollywood Foxtrot. Although there were a few missteps, the couple was able to overcome their struggles of making Trevor the lead man. The judges gave the pair their highest score yet, 42 out of 50 points.
After earning the first ten of the season, Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas returned to correct the celebrity’s frame. Since being told her frame was off, the TikTok senator has strived to improve this aspect of her dances. The pair performed an elegant Foxtrot to “Fever.” This dance earned the pair ten points from all five judges, they received a perfect score.
Later in the episode, Charli’s mom, Heidi D’Amelio returned to the ballroom for absolute redemption with Artem Chigvintsev. After landing in the bottom two last week, the reality show star worked to improve her scores. The judges gave this pair’s Samba 46 out of 50 points.
Jessie James Decker, Alan Bersten Go Home After Being Crowned Prom King, Queen
Each dance of the night truly showed the best of this season’s pairs. Shockingly, the bottom two of the night were Jessie James Decker and Alan Bersten, and Trevor and Emma. After judge deliberations, they decided to save Trevor and Emma, eliminating Jessie and Alan.
While many would be sad to be eliminated, Jessie explained that although she loved the competition, she’s happy she’ll be able to go trick or treating with her children next Monday. Dancing With the Stars returns to Disney+ on October 31 for Halloween Night. The upcoming episode will feature the return of the highly anticipated team dances.
For those who may not know, Team night involves the eight remaining pairs, split into two groups of four. The two couples with the highest scores so far are team captains. As always, the judges decide which team wins the competition. This formatting was first introduced in season 7 and was last seen on season 28’s Halloween Night.
