‘DWTS’ Pros Tease Rehearsals on Social Media, Has The Cast Been Decided?
Since the news of the newest Dancing With the Stars host, we cannot contain our excitement for season 31. Even though Dancing With the Stars has yet to make a cast announcement, many pros are hinting at their return to the ballroom.
Out of State Professionals Return to Los Angeles
Fans have noticed that tons of the professional dancers have recently flocked to Los Angeles, probably for the upcoming season. Witney Carson, Sasha Farber, and Brandon Armstrong all recently posted photos, indicating their return to Los Angeles, California. On top of that, Daniella Karagach shared an Instagram story from a dance studio. Could rehearsals be starting already?
Carson seems to be the only dancer specifying her stay so far, stating that she’ll be there for a week. Since the beginning of her stay she’s posted videos from the wardrobe room, with other cast members, and more. Within each story, she has mentioned some aspect of DWTS, mostly rehearsals. While it’s possible that these rehearsals are for a promotional video, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the dancers began preparing early this season, due to the show’s migration to Disney+.
Who is Returning for Dancing With the Stars Season 31?
The official cast announcement has yet to be made at this time. But, due to Carson’s Instagram stories, I think it’s safe to assume that she’ll return along with everyone in her photos. That means the unofficial cast is Carson, Karagach, Armstrong, Pasha Paskov, Artem Chigvintsev, and Cheryl Burke. Typically, Dancing With the Stars hasa cast of 15 professional dancers and their partners, so fans expect to see more familiar faces soon.
Jenna Johnson confirmed that she will not return to the ballroom this year. This professional is sitting on the bench this year to maintain her health throughout her first pregnancy. That being said, her husband Valentin Chmerkovskiy hopes to return as part of the cast this fall. It is currently unknown whether new mother Sharna Burgess will return to the ballroom this fall.
Dancing With the Stars returns this fall for its first season on Disney+. Official cast announcements will take place on Good Morning America on Thursday, September 8.
