Dancing with the Stars pros Emma Slater and Val Chmerkovskiy took a tumble during a recent dance performance at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show. The pair quickly got back on their feet after the slip.
In a video posted to TikTok, Slater and Chmerkovskiy can be seen dancing with some of their fellow DWTS pros during the recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show in Miami. The clip shows Chmerkovskiy slipping and falling onto the stage, pulling Slater down with him.
The dancers appear to take a second to check in with each other before standing up and sharing a hug as the crowd cheers. A DWTS fan posted the video on the show’s subreddit, prompting a number of responses from fellow fans.
“They look pissed and rightfully so that stage looks like butter,” wrote one user. Another user wrote, “The person that was there said they filmed it like 4 times because of the slipping. Crazy how nobody thought of an alternative, given how hard it was raining.”
“I appreciate how it looks like Val was comforting Emma and making sure she was okay before standing up,” someone else wrote. “I know it should be obvious to do, but it’s still a nice gesture. Hope Emma didn’t hurt herself too bad. She looked amazing in the few clips I saw before this.”

When Can Fans Watch the Runway Show?
The DWTS pros’ performance at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show was being taped for fans to watch the show later, so they were apparently able to do several takes. The show will reportedly be available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ starting June 9.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out which pros will be returning to DWTS for Season 35, as the full cast announcement will take place on Good Morning America on September 2. In the meantime, fans can enjoy the spin-off show DWTS: The Next Pro starting July 13 on ABC.
