‘DWTS’ Pro Thinks Sean Spicer Will Make It To The Finale
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The presence of former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on this season of DWTS has been controversial from the get-go. However, we’re several weeks into the competition and he has yet to be voted off.
Could Sean end up in the finale of 28? Cheryl Burke, a pro dancer on the show who withdrew from this season with partner Ray Lewis, thinks it’s likely. She shared her thoughts on his improvement, and Donald Trump’s support of him, with Us Weekly.
Will Sean Spicer Make It To The ‘DWTS’ Finale?
Cheryl commented on Sean’s performance for Disney Night, with his partner Lindsay Arnold. She praised Lindsay’s choreography and said, “It’s tough. It’s all about memorizing. However, I danced with Tom DeLay. We made it up to week six or seven until he fractured both his feet and then we had to bow out.”
She shared her belief that she and Tom could have made it to the semifinals or finals based on “America’s vote.” Cheryl pointed out that President Trump tweeted his support for Sean, adding, “I wouldn’t be shocked if he made the final. Bristol Palin made the final … in a gorilla suit. She wasn’t the best dancer, but people wanted her there.”
“I said, ‘Lindsay, just wait, you’re gonna make the finals,'” Cheryl went on. “She’s like, ‘No way.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, for sure you are.’ To have the President of the United States tweeting for every one vote for Sean Spicer?”
Donald Trump Tweets Support For Sean Spicer
Could Donald Trump be the reason Sean Spicer has been doing so well in the competition? Earlier this week, the president tweeted encouraging his followers to vote for “good guy” Sean Spicer. “He has always been there for us!” he added. The tweet has 13,000 retweets as of this writing.
His tweet received backlash from many Twitter users, one of whom wrote, “One would think the US president would have more important things on his mind than a dancing show, like the innocent people dying in Syria.”
This week, Sean and Lindsay danced the quickstep to “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story. The judges praised Sean’s improvement, although his scores have remained on the low end throughout the season. Despite this, he has yet to be in the bottom two. Maybe Cheryl is onto something after all.
