On Jan 20, Artem Chigvintsev left the Dancing With the Stars LIVE tour due to unexpected health issues. Since that statement, Chigvintsev has shared that he is currently battling pneumonia. The professional dancer is still on the road to recovery at this time, he has not shared a prediction of when he’ll return to the tour.
Since the dancer announced that he would be leaving the tour, he hasn’t shared too much to social media, but he has now shared a video updating fans on his current health.
In the video, he shared that he has pneumonia and will be on a second round of antibiotics. He did not share an anticipated timeline for his return to the tour, if he will return.
“I had another X-ray done yesterday and it came back still positive for pneumonia, so I just got another set of antibiotics,” he said. “This is, of course, number two hopefully this one will do the magic, will do the trick to kick the pneumonia out of my lungs, so that’s where I’m at.”

Although fans are upset he won’t be visiting their town, they all understand the nature of the sickness.
In late January, the professional dancer suddenly left the DWTS LIVE Tour. Since his sickness was announced, the rest of the cast and guest stars have continued to tour around the United States. The DWTS tour takes place in 33 states including New York, California, Florida, and more. Their special guests for this tour includes season 29 winner Kaitlyn Bristowe, season 30 winner Iman Shumpert, Jimmie Allen, and Amanda Kloots.
In the latest statement related to Chigvintsev’s health, a rep for the tour shared that the show will go on. In addition they wished a speedy recovery for the dancer. Tickets are still available for upcoming shows. Ticket prices range between venues, but the base ticket price is mostly at $49.50. DWTS fans are also able to purchase VIP tickets that include a pre-show Q&A as well as a professional photo opportunity with the dancers.
