‘Dancing with the Stars’ Pro Artem Chigvintsev Leaves Tour Due to Health

Dancing With the Stars professional Artem Chigvintsev announced that he is leaving the Dancing With the Stars tour for the time being. In a brief Instagram post, he shared his decision to step away from the tour due to unexpected health issues.
On January 20, DWTS pro Artem took to social media to share his decision to step away from the DWTS tour. He shared that he is leaving the tour due to some “unexpected health issues.”
“Unfortunately I am having to step away from tour for a while, due to some unexpected health issues,” Chigvintsev wrote. “My goal is to recover as quickly as possible so I can rejoin my cast and crew on this incredible tour.”
The dancer did not share the nature of the health issues nor the expected recovery time. Fans of the professional have rushed to his comments to wish him well during the period of recovery. Many fans are hoping Chigvintsev will have a speedy recovery so he will perform in their city.
Within the comment section of his post, many other DWTS professionals are seen commenting as well. Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Daniella Karagach, Sasha Farber, and others, including Carrie Ann Inaba showed support for Chigvintsev in his unexpected period of recovery.
In the meantime, the rest of the cast and guest stars will continue to tour around the United States amid Artem’s recovery period. The DWTS tour takes place in 33 states including New York, California, Florida, and more. Their special guests for this tour includes season 29 winner Kaitlyn Bristowe, season 30 winner Iman Shumpert, Jimmie Allen, and Amanda Kloots.
“The DWTS: Live! Tour is continuing as planned with our cast of amazing pros — we wish Artem a speedy recovery and look forward to having him back in the show in the very near future,” the rep told PEOPLE.
Ticket prices are ranged differently between venues, but the base ticket price is mostly at $49.50. DWTS fans are also able to purchase VIP tickets that include a pre-show Q&A as well as a professional photo opportunity with the dancers
