‘DWTS’ Partners Britt Stewart, Daniel Durant Are Engaged

Former Dancing with the Stars partners Britt Stewart and Daniel Durant are officially engaged. The couple, who met last year while competing on Season 31 of the show, announced the happy news on Instagram Friday.

On Friday, Stewart shared a joint Instagram post with Durant featuring a photo of the couple embracing in a woodsy locale, as Stewart shows off her engagement ring. In another shot, they share a kiss. Stewart captioned the post, “Forever!!”
Stewart also shared the announcement post on her Instagram stories, writing, “Ending 2023 engaged! Still pinching myself.” She added, “Love you forever @danieldurant.”
The couple opened up about their engagement to People, sharing that Durant got down on one knee during a Christmas Day hike with their families in Lake Arrowhead, California. Stewart said it feels like they’ve “been together for forever.”
“We were both emotional, overwhelmed with joy and at peace knowing that this would eventually be part of our story,” Stewart said. “It felt like magic, but at the same time, it felt right and normal.”

The Couple Met on the Show Last Year
Stewart has been a pro dancer on DWTS since Season 29. Last year, for Season 31, she was paired with Durant. Stewart started learning American Sign Language to better communicate with the actor, who is deaf. The pair finished the competition in fifth place.
On Valentine’s Day earlier this year, the couple announced that they were dating. In August, they shared that they had moved in together. Now, a little over year after they were eliminated from the show, they’re engaged to be married.
The couple shared that they didn’t start dating until after they left the show, as Durant said he “couldn’t imagine not seeing” Stewart.
“It’s a complete surprise that I found her,” Durant told People. “She sees me. She knows my culture, my language and understands everything about me.”
