‘DWTS’ Gleb Savchenko Wants to Do a “Single Dad” Reality Show

Recently divorced Dancing with the Stars pro, Gleb Savchenko, is embracing life as a single dad. Now, he is ready for his own reality show. The professional dancer opened up about his current lifestyle while raising two children. He has two daughters, Olivia, and Zlata, who would be more than excited to participate in a show with their father. If this picks up, fans will get the inside scoop on Savchenko’s new life.
“Hot single dad with kids? Game over,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
The DWTS standout, has a lot more on his plate than dancing these days. He is taking is single dad duties seriously as he conforms to the new role.
Savchenko’s Single Dad Duties
Savchenko was married to Elena Samodanova for 14 years before splitting in November of last year. His custody days are split 50/50 with his ex-wife. On his days, he expressed that he had to give 100 percent of himself to his daughters. On the Whine Down podcast, the Russian dancer discussed their co-parenting. He spoke of how hard their separation was, considering the two do not get along. They have made the decision however, that they would not speak negatively in front of the kids.
Nonetheless, there is still a lot of love within the family. The performer is still adjusting to life as a single dad, and is enjoying the bonding time he gets to experience with his children.
“It’s everything. Starting from waking up in the morning, to doing their hair, making breakfast, taking them to school, doing activities … just being a dad, it’s an amazing thing,” Savchenko, 37, said in the interview. “It’s funny because when we were together, with Elena, I didn’t have that much time with them. Because either I was on tour, or on the season, and we had a full-time nanny.”
Now, Savchenko’s focus remains on raising his two girls. What better way to bond than working together on a show everyday?
