‘DWTS’ Fans Think Rylee Arnold Doesn’t Deserve To Be a Pro — Here’s Why

Despite obtaining low scores each week, Dancing With The Stars pair Rylee Arnold and Harry Jowsey have yet to be eliminated. Apparently, this has become a source of frustration to fans who believe that Arnold should step up her game.
DWTS Fans are Criticizing Rylee Arnold’s Choregraphy
During last week’s Most Memorable Year Night, Arnold and Jowsey ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard. However, they were lucky enough to be saved through votes, so they’re advancing in the competition.
Their lack of elimination has, in turn, disappointed some fans. Many believe that last week’s eliminated celebrity, Mira Sorvino, should’ve stayed in the competition. Following the episode, on Reddit, fans shared their thoughts on the Too Hot to Handle star’s slow progress. Apparently, many people are blaming it on Arnold’s lack of ability to choreograph satisfying routines.
“I want so badly for him to do better. But she’s choreographing these dances for herself and not him,” a fan wrote.
“He may be an awful dancer, but the last 5 weeks have mostly been Harry standing, taking no more than 5 steps, while Rylee dances around him. How in the world is he supposed to improve and be a slightly better dancer if he’s not given the chance to actually dance even once??” another user wrote.
“She really needs to learn to choreograph. Instead of giving her a pro spot out the gate she should have been a backup dancer for a few seasons to get used to it,” another user commented.
Meanwhile, one fan suggested that Arnold should be “demoted” to troupe dancer before she’s given a chance to be a pro. Agreeing on this statement, another person claimed that Arnold is only getting through each week because of her romance rumors with Jowsey.
It’s important to remember that Season 32 is Arnold’s very first season as a Dancing With The Stars pro. But, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have experience, she comes from a dance-focused family, she has competed and won in various dance competitions since she was a kid.
Harry Jowsey Defends Her Against Hate Comments
Completely aware of the harsh comments, Jowsey is asking fans to go easy on Arnold. In a video uploaded on Snapchat, the reality star took the time to react to the negative comments they’ve recently been receiving.
“I just want to say, today has been extremely difficult. Poor Rylee is really upset, I’m really upset. I think we’re both equally devastated and upset about last night, ’cause it wasn’t our night, wasn’t our best dance. And, obviously, the comments and everyone online kind of reflects that as well,” he said.
@dance.floor.diaries they do not deserve all of these rude comments🥺… team harry and rylee all the way!🥰🥰 #DWTS #harryandrylee #dancingwiththestars #dwts #harryjowsey #ryleearnold ♬ original sound – dance floor diaries
Jowsey begged haters to stop commenting on the matter “if you don’t have anything nice to say.” Noting that it’s Arnold’s first season and that he’s never danced before, the YouTube star stated that they’re still “figuring it out.”
“I love spending time with Rylee,” he said. “She’s an incredible person, she’s an incredible woman, and it’s been such a joy to be with her. Anyway, I’m dragging this on, but if you see a nasty comment, just tell them to keep it to themselves. It’s just not very nice to read. It was just really difficult for both of us.”
During Disney Night, fans pointed out the similarities of Arnold’s choreography and her sister Lindsay’s previous routine on the show. The DWTS pro and Jowsey danced to “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story. For those who may not know, Lindsay danced to that same song with partner Sean Spicer a few years before.
Amid ongoing talks against her, the youngest DWTS pro hasn’t spoken about the issue. Rather, Arnold maintains her composure and continues to do her best each week.
