Kameron Ross Receives Video Message From ‘Drag Race’s Detox
On Monday, Kameron Ross shared a video he received from Detox, thanking his friends for connecting them and saying he “screamed” when he first saw it. “And thanks for taking the time to do this Detox!” he added.
“Congratulations, that is amazing. I cannot wait to hear you sing your little heart out,” Detox said in the video.” Your huge heart out, actually. I’m sure it’s quite large.” She then welcomed Cameron “to the world of reality television.”
Detox’s advice? “Don’t read the comments. Be fabulous. Be sickening. I know you are. I can’t wait to hear you. I love you.” She finished the video by blowing a kiss to the camera.
Detox competed on Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2013 and made it to fourth place, so she definitely has experience in the world of reality competition shows.
Simon Cowell Stops Kameron During His Audition
During Kameron’s audition for America’s Got Talent, he said he wanted to “show other people like me that it is possible to do this in the country music industry.” He performed “Red Dirt Road” by Brooks & Dunn.
Simon stopped Kameron in the middle of his performance. “I’d like you to do something for us,” he said. “I want you to sing a cappella, and I want you to prove the point you’ve been wanting to prove. I want you to stand out.”
Kameron went on to sing without a backing track, and he sounded amazing. We’ll have to wait until the new episode airs to know what the judges thought of his performance.
