Did This Duet Earn Paris Winningham a Place in ‘The Voice’ Top 5?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
On Monday night, The Voice artists Paris Winningham and Wendy Moten teamed up for a duet of “Change the World” by Eric Clapton in the Season 21 Semifinals. The Team Blake members knocked it out of the park with their performance.
Wendy has been a frontrunner this season pretty much since her Blind Audition, but could this duet have also guaranteed Paris a place in next week’s finale? There are only five spots available, and he just might take one of them after this amazing performance.
Paris Winningham, Wendy Moten Duet on ‘The Voice’
Monday’s show featured two performances from each of the Top 8 contestants — a solo and a duet to a ’90s song with a fellow artist. Team Blake stars Paris and Wendy were paired up for their duet. They sat side by side on stools to perform, surrounded by backup singers and a guitarist.
The performance showcased both singers’ versatility, as they showed restraint for a more chill beginning before blowing the roof off later in the song. The pair also had a cute onstage rapport. At one point, Paris sang that he’d “take you as my queen.” Wendy replied, “Me?” Paris answered, “Oh, yeah.”
Fans are loving this duet, with one commenter writing on YouTube, “Only Wendy and Paris can just sit there and give us EVERYTHING!” Another commenter said that Paris and Wendy “pushed each other to even higher levels of excellence.”

Did This Duet Give Paris a Place in the Finale?
The competition is really heating up, and even though all of the remaining artists on Season 21 are incredibly talented, three of them will have to be eliminated during Tuesday night’s results show. Only five artists, regardless of whose team they’re on, can make it to the finale.
The results have been kind of unpredictable this season, with artists up for the Instant Save one week and then voted straight through by America the next. Even though Paris has never been up for the Instant Save this season, he didn’t make our list predicting the Top 5.
However, the positive response to his amazing duet with Wendy is making us think maybe he’ll win a spot in the Top 5 after all. No matter what happens, it’s going to be a tough elimination night as we say goodbye to three talented artists.
