Dancing With the Stars professional turned judge Derek Hough has finally tied the knot with his long term girlfriend, Hayley Erbert. The couple, who wed on August 26, 2023, are off enjoying their first trip as a married couple in Italy.

On September 3, Hough shared his first video from his honeymoon with Hayley Erbert. Although the professional dancers didn’t share their exact location, it was previously reported that they would be honeymooning in Italy. Based on the video’s landmarks, many think the couple is honeymooning in Lake Como, Italy.
The couple’s video features glimpses at a boat adventure, exploring the streets, jumping off a dock, biking, nightlife, and more. Throughout the video, it’s clear that the couple is soaking in their moments together on this trip. They’re holding hands, smiling together, and sharing kisses in the intimate video.
“First trip as a married couple. There should be a name for that 🤔#mrandmrshough,” Hough wrote in the caption.
This intimate video has already gained over 86,000 likes on Instagram at the time of writing. Fans can expect more footage from the couple’s honeymoon, since Hough labeled the video as “part one.”
For those who don’t know, the couple got engaged in June 2022, after nearly seven years of dating.
Some Fans Are Upset With Hough’s Video
Although Hough’s video is merely a glimpse at the couple’s honeymoon, some fans are wondering the logistics behind it. Even though the clips are short, there are multiple instances where it seems like Hough isn’t the person filming.
“Just asking out of curiosity.. you needed to bring a camera crew on your honeymoon??? Hmmmm???” a fan wrote.
Other fans have quickly responded to the comment, explaining that Hough most likely filmed most of the footage himself. For those who may not know, outside of dance, Hough has a passion for photography. Hough typically showcases his passion on his photography specific Instagram.
“He is not just a dancer. He directs, produces, films and edits his own video. [He] has the top of the line GoPro as well as an amazing video drone,” another fan commented. “They create all of their own video.”
In contrast, another fan replied, stating that Hough should worry about living in the moment more for this special occasion.
“I kinda can see where you are coming from. Just even having to always be taking videos shots or setting the shot up or looking for the right spot to film…it takes away from just being present in the moment and constantly having to be “on” for the video,” they wrote. “Then taking the time to edit the videos, even if it easy for him, it’s still time consuming…Sometimes people just got to put the camera/phone down and just live in the moment.”
Hough and Erbert aren’t new to sharing their relationship online. Some may remember that they began a joint YouTube channel in August 2020 where they share various travel and lifestyle vlogs. This account is no longer as active as it was in 2020, but the couple keeps it active with music videos, and tell-alls about important events, like their engagement.
