Demi Lovato Drops Emotional New Track With Winnetka Bowling League
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Demi Lovato just released a new collaboration with a totally new sound for the star. Today, the singer dropped an emotional song with the alternative group Winnetka Bowling League. This isn’t at all what I expected of Lovato’s new sound, but I’m enjoying it regardless.
Lovato prepared their fans for new things coming in 2022. They recently wiped their instagram completely and shaved their head in preparation. Many of the singers fans have thought that they’ll return to their rock roots, but this song suggests otherwise.
“Fiimy (f*ck it, i miss you)” is a song about coming to terms with still being in love with an ex. Both Winnetka Bowling League and Lovato sing about how they’re still in love with someone from their past. The strongest part of this song are the lyrics. It’s a light, slow song. Behind the vocals are string instruments. The background music almost sounds like an orchestra.
All in all, this is a beautiful song. It’s the type of song that could be imagined in the background of a love story in a movie. Since releasing the song, Lovato fans have been blowing up Winnetka Bowling League’s Instagram. The group shared a photo of them with Lovato and many fans are requesting a music video.
Before this track, creator of Winnetka Bowling League, Matthew Koma, and Lovato worked together before. Koma co-wrote “Easy” from Lovato’s album The Art of Starting Over. They became friends immediately after.
How “Fiimy (f*ck it, i miss you)” Was Created
This song was originally recorded by Winnetka Bowling League. The song originally was a snippet on Koma’s TikTok and Lovato happened to find it. From there Koma asked Lovato to help finish the tune. Even though the two had worked together in the past, Koma still shared his excitement for the tune on Tiktok.
As many know Lovato has dated a few people on the public eye in the past years including Max Ehrich and Wilmer Valderrama. While many might assume this is about their most recent public breakup with Ehrich, it seems like it could be about Valderrama. Valderrama welcomed his first child with fiancé Amanda Pacheco last year.
“How I felt so undeserving of you/And loved you more than I will admit to/A hundred reasons and counting still/Never stopped and I never will,” Lovato sings.
Valderrama and Lovato split in 2016 after almost six years together. Last year, it was reported that the duo still is in touch during the new chapters of their life. They remained as friends after their breakup and have publicly shown support for one another. As of right now, Lovato has not shared who the song lyrics are about.
