Actor Cody Longo Was Arrested For Domestic Violence
According to police reports, Longo was intoxicated when he came home very late on a Thursday night. His wife said that the actor accused her of being unfaithful in their marriage. The fight escalated and turned into a full-fledged physical argument.
According to TMZ, Longo’s wife told cops that the actor shoved her in the face with his forearm which led to her having a sore neck and jaw. She did not have any evidence of physical bruises or injuries at the time according to reports. He told TMZ that his wife’s allegations against him are not true and that he did not incite any physical violence upon her. However, he made it clear that this is a private matter that he wants to handle between the two of them.
Records show there had been no history of violence between Longo and his wife. His arraignment is scheduled for next week. Longo previously posted a tribute to his wife after five years together. “What an incredible journey we have had. I love you so much, I am so excited to wake up with you every day. You are my best friend, and incredible mother, a leader and wife that I prayed for before we met” he captioned the post. The pair have two children together.
Longo Was Previously Arrested For A DUI A Few Years Back
The former Nickelodeon star previously appeared in the show Hollywood Heights. The actor also had roles in Make It or Break It and Piranha 3-D. He was 25 years old at the time of his arrest in 2013 and charged with a DUI. Longo was pulled over by cops in Los Angeles after they felt he was demonstrating suspicious behavior while driving. Several reports stated that he repeatedly flashed other drivers with his high beams.
He was taken into custody but managed to avoid jail time as part of a plea deal. The deal required him to take several alcohol education classes for three months. Longo also had to take 10 Alcohol Anonymous classes along with being sentenced to three years of summary probation.
His publicist released a statement at the time of his DUI arrest in 2013. “This was an unfortunate misunderstanding. Cody takes it very serious as his focus is music and acting. He has a great team whom he was with the whole night, and we are taking the next steps legally to clear this up” the statement says.
