David Archuleta Rumored to Be Joining ‘DWTS’ Season 32

American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta could be heading to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom this fall. A recent blind item hinted that he’s in talks to compete on Season 32, which is set to premiere soon.
David Archuleta Rumored to Be Joining DWTS
On Monday, the website Bravo and Cocktails posted a blind item about a possible contestant on the upcoming season of DWTS. The submission describes a “former singing competition finalist (male)” who would be partnered with a male dancer.
The blind item adds, “It’s still tentative as he’s not fully sold on the idea of another competition show so soon after the last one, but his team is pushing for it.”
DWTS insider Kristyn Burtt posted about this rumor on her TikTok, pointing out that it sounds a lot like Archuleta. Not only did he come in second place on a singing competition, but he also recently competed on The Masked Singer as Macaw.
Burtt also mentioned that The Masked Singer and DWTS have the same casting director — Deena Katz. She added that she thinks there is “a strong possibility” this rumor could turn out to be true.

Who Is Competing on Season 32?
So far only two celebrities have been officially confirmed as contestants on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars. Those celebrities are Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson.
Actress Mira Sorvino has also been reported as a cast member for the new season. The show has yet to confirm Sorvino’s involvement at this time. Meanwhile, on the pro dancer side of things, Lindsay Arnold’s younger sister Rylee Arnold is rumored to be joining the show.
The full cast of celebrities and pro dancers will be revealed on Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 13. Hopefully we’ll also know a premiere date then.
