Dancing with the Stars Season 33 returned on Tuesday night for the Semifinals, as the remaining five couples performed two dances each. Joey Graziadei earned his first perfect score of the season, and the night ended with the surprise announcement that there would be no elimination.

Joey Graziadei Earns Perfect Score on Dancing with the Stars

Tuesday’s Semifinals only featured one perfect-scoring dance. It came from Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson, who performed a Foxtrot to “I Won’t Dance” by Erin Boheme featuring Disctrict 78.

Later in the show, Joey and Jenna performed a Paso Doble to “Come Together” by the Beatles. It earned a total score of 28 out of 30. They were tied with Chandler Kinney and her partner Brandon Armstrong for highest combined score of the night, with 58.

Chandler and Brandon earned 29 out of 30 for both their dances during Tuesday’s episode. That included a Salsa to “Spicy Margarita” by Jason Derulo and Michael Bublé, as well as a Foxtrot to “Too Sweet” by Hozier.

Ilona Maher and her partner Alan Bersten earned the second-highest combined score of the night for their dances. They performed a Paso Doble to an orchestral version of “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras (earning a 28), as well as a Viennese Waltz to “Golden Hour” by Jvke (earning a 29).

There Was No Elimination This Week

At the end of the night, fans braced themselves for an elimination. At the bottom of the leaderboard were Danny Amendola and Witney Carson (with a combined score of 54), and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold (with a combined score of 53).

Co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough announced the results after America’s votes were combined with the judges’ scores. The last two couples standing were Ilona and Alan, along with Stephen and Rylee. However, neither couple was eliminated.

The hosts shared that all five couples in the Semifinals would be moving on to next week’s finale. The scores and votes from this week’s show will be combined with those from next week’s episode to determine who should be named the winner.

The same thing happened last season, as all five couples in the Semifinals moved on to the finale. But that didn’t stop the competitors from looking relieved to hear that no one would be going home. Who are you rooting for to win the Mirrorball? Let us know in the comments below.
