‘Dancing With the Stars’ Alum Jimmie Allen Talks Family Life with Nick Cannon

Country music star Jimmie Allen announced that he will be headlining his first ever tour in 2022. The Down Home Tour will kick off in West Hollywood, CA on February 3, 2022. Allen’s star continues to rise. He recently took home the 2021 CMA award for New Artist of The Year.


Fans of reality TV show competitions will remember Allen for appearing on American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and most recently Dancing with the Stars. Allen has found music success with his chart topping hits such as “Best Shot.” The debut single hit number one on Billboard Country music airplay in 2018. Allen’s latest chart topper is the Noah Cyrus duet, “This Is us.”

As if the history making musician isn’t busy enough, he is also promoting a new book and stopped by The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon’s daytime talk show to discuss his landmark year. Allen mentioned his humble roots growing up in Milton Delaware with his “redneck” Father. During the sit down, the singer discussed how much his father played a role in his life.

“He just taught me to be me,” he says about his Father, who is deceased. “We lived by four things. Work hard, love yourself, so you can love somebody else and don’t quit,” Allen explained.


Cannon, who made sure that Allen knew that he is a “trailblazer” in the industry, was impressed with how family oriented he was. Allen also teased new music with legends such as Elton John, Nelly, and Tim Mcgraw. Allen promoted his new book My Voice is a Trumpet. The father of three says he wanted to create the book to teach young kids how to utilize their voices.

The lessons that his father taught him is paying off. Allen proves that there is power in not giving up on your dreams. Between music, books, and family, Allen proves that you can still shoot into superstardom after losing a talent show competition.

Jimmie Allen Kicks Off His First Headlining Tour in Spring 2022

Allen is next hoping to win big at music’s biggest night. It was announced last month that Allen received his first ever Grammy nomination. He is up for best new artist alongside popular artists The Kid Laroi and Olivia Rodrigo to name a few. The 2022 Grammys take place on January 31.


Pre-sale for the tour starts December 7. Joining Allen will be Country music duo Neon Union Music. The duo teamed up with Allen for their collaboration Summer hit “Livin’ Man.”
