Contrary To Popular Belief: ‘Voice’ Fans CAN Vote All Week Long For Their Favorite Artist
You might already know how to vote for your favorite artists on The Voice from week to week, and even how to save them from elimination. But did you know you can vote for your faves even when the regular voting windows are closed?
Thanks to the Apple Music method of voting, streams of the artists’ songs from now until the finale count toward their final totals. So if you miss your chance to vote on Monday nights, you can still give your favorite singers a shot at the top prize.
How ‘The Voice’ Apple Music Vote Works
First, a little background on the Apple Music voting method. After each episode, the artists’ songs from that week are made available to stream. If you have an Apple Music subscription, you can vote by listening to these songs.
Each stream counts as one vote for the artist, and you’re allowed up to 10 for each eligible song. The artist with the most streams at the end of the voting window (which ends at 7 a.m. ET Tuesdays) will receive an Apple Music Bonus. This multiplies their streams from the previous night by five.
However, don’t worry if you missed the overnight voting window. You can still stream the artists’ songs any time from now until the finale, and it will count toward the artists’ Cumulative Vote Total.
Apple Music Votes Count Toward The Finale
Until December 17 at 7 a.m. ET, streams of eligible The Voice songs will count toward the artists’ Cumulative Vote Totals. This also includes streams during the overnight voting periods, and is still limited to 10 votes per song.
Voting this way outside the overnight window will only help your artist if they make it to the finale. Their Cumulative Vote Total (defined in the rules as all valid Apple Music Streams, plus any Apple Music Bonuses) will be added to whatever traditional votes they receive overnight from December 16 to December 17.
