Christina Aguilera Says EP ‘La Luz’ is About “Closure In A Peaceful Way”

Christina Aguilera has finally released the final EP in her album trilogy, La Luz. It’s no secret that this singer has returned to her Latin roots with this project, so fans are loving it. Aguilera has admitted that La Luz is her most personal project to date.
Christina Aguilera Releases Final Portion of Her Trilogy
The pop singer has decided to tap into her Latin heritage through latest album Aguilera. This compilation album consists of three EPs which reveal about Aguilera’s journey as a woman of color. She launched the same strong with the first EP, La Fuerza, and emerged stronger with the issuance of the second one, La Tormenta. She has finally released the third and final installment, La Luz.
“As a mother, I want to be the strongest, healthiest version of myself for my children. I wrote No Es Que Te Extrañe to come full circle, accept, forgive and be set free,” she captioned on Instagram. “Forgiveness begins when heartache turns into freedom.”
La Luz introduces Aguilera in a more personal level, exploring her struggles from childhood to adulthood. These include the abuses she witnessed inside and outside home.
She Says La Luz is About “Moving Forward”
According to Aguilera, despite traumatic experiences, she doesn’t want to blame or vilify anyone. Instead, she issues La Luz as her heartfelt attempt to tell a relatable and empowering story.
“We have the right to feel how we feel, and then I think it’s important to move on from it and choose to move forward into the light. That’s what La Luz is about,” she explained.
The singer describes this EP as her take in finding “closure in a peaceful way.” Additionally, La Luz signifies her choice to move forward into the light.
“I think it’s important to let go of things that hurt us so badly that we end up being held prisoner by them,” she said. “It’s important to come full circle and make peace for yourself so that you can be the healthiest and the strongest you can be for yourself, and also for my children.”
Pushing to create Aguilera has apparently made her obtain 10 nominations at the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards. Currently, this compilation album is a step away from winning Album of the Year.
