Although Burke said she is “now officially divorced,” she explained on her podcast that she and Lawrence may have to go back to court in January, unless Lawrence “calls it off.” She said that she’s “still just really hurt by the whole situation.”
“That’s my dog,” Burke said, according to the Daily Mail. “Ysabella is my daughter – I’m a dog mom, and that’s it. I couldn’t even imagine my life – I mean, I could just cry right now – but I couldn’t imagine my life without her.”
Burke filed for divorce from Lawrence in February of this year. In September, the couple reached a settlement honoring their prenuptial agreement. Each of them got their own royalties and agreed to waive spousal support.
However, court documents reportedly state, “The court expressly reserves jurisdiction for later determination of the issue of the ownership of the dog ‘Isabella.'”

Burke, Lawrence Got Married in 2019
Burke and Lawrence first met in 2006, when Lawrence’s brother Joey competed on Dancing with the Stars. He and Burke started dating the next year. They eventually broke up in 2008, but they reconnected in 2017 and got engaged in 2018.
The couple tied the knot in May 2019. According to court documents from when Burke filed for divorce in February, the couple had been separated since January 7. In August, fans speculated that Lawrence had cheated after Burke posted a TikTok video seeming to call out an ex’s infidelity.
Burke is currently competing on Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars with Good Morning America weather anchor Sam Champion. You can watch them dance on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Disney+.
