Charli D’Amelio Vlogs Her Rehearsal with Mark Ballas for Special ‘DWTS’ Season 32 Performance

Former winner Charli D’Amelio returned to Dancing With The Stars stage for a special performance. Ahead of their number, the TikTok star made a vlog of her dance rehearsals with her pro partner Mark Ballas.
Charli D’Amelio Vlogs Rehearsal for DWTS Season 32 Special Performance
In a December 6 vlog on YouTube, D’Amelio shared her and Ballas’ rehearsals for their special number. The influencer took her fans through the process of creating their routine, in an attempt to give justice to Travis Garland’s rendition of “Give It To Me Baby” by Rick James. Somewhere in the vlog, the duo gushed over the energetic track.
“We love the music. It’s a vibe, it’s a party,” she said.
Interestingly, the choreographer contributed to the music arrangement, as seen in the vlog. Amid rehearsals, Ballas discussed why it’s exciting to return to the DWTS stage again. According to the pro, he’s happy that he got to dance with D’Amelio again.
“It’s fun. We get to like dive a little deeper which is fun,” he said. “I mean they’ve had people come back to perform but this is like the first time, I think, the winners of last season gets to come and put on essentially an exhibition. And then we get to enjoy the Final and watch everybody else.”
Elsewhere in the vlog, D’Amelio showed how they practiced on stage. The two also talked to the series executive producer, Conrad Green.
Back in 2022, the TikTok star and the retired DWTS pro were hailed season 31 champions. D’Amelio and Ballas received perfect score in the Finale, capping the season with their stellar ballroom routine.
“I’ve learned so much, whether it’s about all these new styles of dance or just myself as a person or learning how to perform anything,” she said. “I’ve learned a whole lot about it all, and that’s thanks to Mark.”
Mark Ballas Pens Heartfelt Note for Charli D’Amelio Following Their Return
After the season 32 finale, Ballas took the time to honor D’Amelio for their incredible performance. On Instagram, the retired DWTS pro thanked the YouTube star for her hard work.
“This one was so fun, Chucki you haven’t skipped a beat, thank you for all your hard work this week taking on this routine like the champ that you are, I’m forever proud of you @charlidamelio,” he wrote.
Ballas also expressed gratitude to Garland for his “stellar vocals” on his version of “Give It To Me Baby.” As per the professional dancer, Garland’s voice has the capacity to “inspire and bring so much more” to the dance.
“I’m loving seeing you get so much love for your outstanding performances week after week, please go check out this man’s music on your favorite streaming service if you haven’t already,” he wrote.
He added: “Big shout out to the @dancingwiththestars team for making this little routine shine & for putting in all the details, I appreciate the hard work you all put in week after week.”
Ballas concluded his post by thanking the fans for their “endless love & support.”
“It truly means the world to us, it was an honor to be your champion this past year,” he wrote.
