‘CGT’ Host Lindsay Ell Celebrates Her Dual Citizenship in an Inspirational Post

Canada’s Got Talent host Lindsay Ell has officially become an American citizen after passing the test. She is now classified as a dual citizen in the U.S.A. and Canada. The host/country singer posted the achievement on her Instagram, where she thanked all of her country music fans.
Lindsay Ell Becomes a Dual Citizen
A long-standing goal of becoming an American and Canadian citizen has been officially achieved by the country singer. Ell revealed that she passed her American citizenship test after 11 years of coming to the U.S.A.
In the Instagram post, Ell can be seen holding the official document she has received after becoming a U.S. citizen. Within the post is a video that shows Ell’s country music friends throwing her an American party as congratulations.
Ell partied together with friends where they are seen drinking champagne while “Party in the U.S.A.” plays in the background. Even Ell’s pet pomeranian Hendrix got in on the fun and is shown to be playing with a patriotic necklace.
She wrote in the caption about what it took to get the citizenship, because it is not an easy feat. Ell also reveals in the post that she received her documents on the tenth anniversary of her first record deal. She finished the post with a motivational speech by saying that anything can be achieved if you “want it badly enough.”
She Will Join Shania Twain for a 2023 Tour
Recently, Ell also announced that she will be joining country music legend, Shania Twain, on her Queen Of Me tour in 2023. Ell revealed that Twain has been a big inspiration for her music career and wanted to be like her when the time comes.
“I remember watching videos of Shania on stage and being like, I want to do that, I wanna be her.” Ell said. “And now to be able to be direct support with her on tour, it’s wild. It’s so surreal speaking that sentence into existence.”
Her excitement can be felt in her latest Instagram post of the tour, where she still can’t believe that the tour together with Twain is finally happening. The tour will kick off at the Tortuga Music Festival 2023 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before going in an additional 75 shows and finishing in Vancouver.
