Celine Dion Applauds Joshua Vacanti for Top 8 Performance of Her Song ‘Ashes’

Joshua Vacanti may not have made it into the Top 5 of The Voice, but he instead has caught the attention of an iconic singer. This week on The Voice, Joshua took on Celine Dion’s hit “Ashes” and he definitely did not disappoint. Even earning the attention of the vocal queen herself.
Joshua has premiered a large vocal range since his blind audition with “Into The Unknown” from the film Frozen 2. This singer’s theatrical performance led John Legend to not only turn his chair, but block Ariana Grande from taking this singer. I don’t think anyone will forget the moment Grande turned her chair and shockingly found out she was blocked.
Joshua Vacanti has Repeatedly Flaunted his Powerhouse Vocals on The Voice
This Team Legend member showed off his powerhouse vocals throughout each round of the competition. He’s sang “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys, “The Show Must Go On” by Queen, “You Will Be Found” from Dear Evan Hansen, Lady Gaga’s “Yoü and I,” and more.
In this week of the competition, he was on a Celine Dion kick. During the semifinals, he performed “Ashes” by Dion. Before Tuesday night’s instant save, Dion shared Joshua’s rendition of this song on her Twitter.
Joshua replied to Dion’s tweet sharing his love for the singer:
“Thank you so much!!!!! I love you with my whole heart!! This is a dream!! Ah!!” he wrote on Twitter.
The singer went on to sing “My Heart Will Go On” by Dion in the instant save. Unfortunately, Joshua was not saved by America, and he was eliminated.
Joshua was up against Jershika Maple, Jim and Sasha Allen, and Lana Scott in last night’s instant save. His teammate, Jershika, will be continuing into the Top 5 instead. Before Joshua left the competition, The Voice coaches reminded him that they would go and see any show he is apart of. We’re hoping The Voice has opened doors for this singer to find a spot on Broadway.
