Carly Rae Jepsen Announces She’s Pregnant with Her First Child

Earlier this week, Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen shared the exciting news that she’s currently pregnant with her first child. Jepsen recently tied the knot with music producer Cole M.G.N., and the couple is now expecting a baby together.
Carly Rae Jepsen Announces She’s Pregnant
Carly Rae Jepsen, who got her start on the talent show Canadian Idol in 2007, announced her pregnancy on Instagram Monday. The 39-year-old shared a series of black-and-white photos of her and husband Cole M.G.N. sitting together on a bed.
In the sweet snaps, Jepsen wears a set of pajamas which are partially unbuttoned to show off her growing baby bump. The “Call Me Maybe” singer wrote in the post’s caption, “Oh hi baby,” adding a heart emoji.
As of this writing, Jepsen has not shared any more details about her pregnancy, including her due date or the baby’s gender. It’s been an exciting few months for the pop star, as she and her husband just tied the knot in New York City.

Jepsen Just Got Married Last Month
Jepsen and M.G.N. (short for Marsden Greif-Neill) first met while working together in 2021 before beginning to date the following year. In September 2024, the couple got engaged during a European vacation. On October 4 of this year, they tied the knot in a wedding ceremony at New York City’s famous Chelsea Hotel.
Vogue published photos from the couple’s nuptials, as Jepsen shared that the wedding was attended by 100 guests, with her aunt and uncle officiating. As the singer explained, “We wanted it to feel romantic and full of emotion. Our family talked about how we met, and we wrote personal vows to each other that we read aloud.”
Also in October, Jepsen released the 10th anniversary edition of her fan-favorite album Emotion, featuring new bonus tracks and remixes. Earlier this year, it was announced that Jepsen is writing the score for a 10 Things I Hate About You musical alongside Ethan Gruska, with a book co-written by Lena Dunham and Jessica Huang.
