‘Canada’s Got Talent’ Host Lindsay Ell Gives Behind the Scenes Look Ahead of Premiere
Reading Time: 2 minutes
There is only one month left until the Canada’s Got Talent premiere on Citytv. Excitement is ramping up for this series return to television. The show recently gave fans a first look at the giant stage, as well as backstage, for the brand new series.
CGT Premieres Brand New Stage
On February 24, Canada’s Got Talent posted a two minute video led by their host, Lindsay Ell. Within the video she walks around backstage and shows individual rooms backstage. She began by visiting Kardinal Offishall in a room labelled avalon. She then went and found Howie Mandel and bantered with him.
Near the end, she showed what fans have been waiting for. Ell showed off her view of the gigantic stage, she then went to center stage and showed off where the contestants will stand. The video ended with Ell showing off the judging panel, including the golden buzzer.
This video gave fans a first look at the brand new stage. Before this, the series shared videos of the judges and preview videos, but nothing as in depth as this.
The stage mimics the look of most stages in the Got Talent franchise. It was super cool to see Ell’s on stage spot, Mandel’s seat, and center stage. It really gave perspective for what each contestant sees during their audition.
A week ago, Canada’s Got Talent shared a promotional video that includes upcoming acts. The video features a martial artists group, a singer, a cheerleading group, a pole dancer and way more. The promotion ended off with judge Trish Stratus hitting the Golden Buzzer with her elbow.
Canada’s Got Talent Will Premiere on Citytv in March
After a nine year hiatus, Canada’s Got Talent premiere will be March 22, 2022. This series faced cancellation in 2012, but is hoping to come back bigger and stronger than ever. America’s fan favorite America’s Got Talent judge, Mandel will sit on the judging panel alongside other canadian celebrities. As of right now, Canada’s Got Talent has not announced whether they’ll be broadcasting the series to the United States, or not.
Canada’s Got Talent began filmed in early November at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The semifinals and live shows will also take place in this location.
