Camila Cabello Pokes Fun at How She Pronounces ‘Christmas’
Recently, social media users have had fun listening to a clip from Cabello’s cover of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” in which she pronounces the name of the holiday in an unusual way. Fans have spelled it different ways, but one popular choice is “quismois.”
This week, Cabello herself got in on the meme by posting a TikTok poking fun at the pronunciation. In the clip she plays two characters — herself, and a coach helping her prepare the song. They practice the phrase, “I’ll be home for Christmas.”
While the coach character pronounces it like many people would, Cabello repeats it back with the pronunciation we hear in the song. After a little back-and-forth, the coach character unconvincingly says, “It’s gonna be great.”
Fans kept the fun going in the comments, with one person writing, “princess of quismois.” Others called her the “queen of quismois.” Someone else wrote, “Love when celebrities respond/add to a meme of themselves.”

Cabello Has Poked Fun at Herself Before
This isn’t the first time Cabello has addressed something viral about herself on TikTok. Earlier this year, the singer had a wardrobe malfunction on live television. While appearing on BBC’s The One Show, she accidentally flashed her nipple on camera.
Cabello later took to TikTok to poke fun at the embarrassing moment, writing, “when my stylist asked me if I wanted nip covers and I said no.” In the clip, she lip syncs to the lyrics, “I wish I had a time machine.”
If you can get past Cabello’s pronunciation of “Christmas,” her cover of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” (which she previously performed at the White House) is available now for streaming. Be sure to add it to your Quismois playlist.
