On Wednesday, Cabello posted a snippet of a song on Instagram. The file shown in the clip has the name “June Gloom.” She sings on the track, “How come you’re just so much better? / Is this gonna end ever? / I guess I’ll f*ck around and find out / Are you coming to Coachella? / If you don’t, it’s whatever / If you do, honey, it’ll be all I think about.”
The Coachella reference is notable, since Cabello and Mendes were spotted kissing at the music festival last Friday. TMZ also recently shared a video of the couple (who split back in 2021) walking hand-in-hand down a street in Santa Monica.
Cabello captioned her new Instagram post, “4.12,” with a bouquet emoji. Fans in the comments have been speculating about the meaning of the date. Some think it’s a reference to when the song was recorded, as it matches a number in the file name. Others think maybe this is the date Cabello and Mendes got back together.

The Couple First Started Dating in 2019
Cabello and Mendes first started dating back in 2019 and later spent the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic quarantining together with Cabello’s family in Miami. They were together for over two years before announcing their split in November 2021.
“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” the pair said in a joint statement at the time. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”
Cabello went on to date Lox Club CEO Austin Kevitch, but the pair broke up earlier this year. As People points out, Wednesday’s song snippet is the first new music Cabello has shared with fans since she released her third solo album Familia last April.
