Tonight The Voice premiered its epic finale episode. This highly anticipated event is set to have a lot of big names in the music scene on their stage, but The Voice didn’t want to stop there. International phenomenon BTS appeared as holograms to perform with Coldplay.

Last week, The Voice announced performers like Keke Palmer, Jennifer Lopez, Tori Kelly, Ed Sheeran, and others would take the stage during the finale. The show waited to announce some of their biggest performers, like Ariana Grande, the day before, but no one expected BTS to show up as holograms during Coldplay’s set!

Coldplay sang their song “My Universe,” which features the infamous boyband. This futuristic performance definitely didn’t disappoint with the BTS boys dancing and singing among a hypnotic light show. To add to the intensity of this surprise performance, the members of BTS disappeared and reappeared throughout the dance while Coldplay frontman Christ Martin stayed center stage. Fans of the K-pop group couldn’t turn their televisions on quick enough to see the band’s holograms on stage.

NBC couldn’t have given the BTS army any type of warning before airing this first performance? I think everyone was just as shocked as I was to see this popular group “on” The Voice stage tonight.

The Voice Final Wastes No Time During This Action Packed Finale

The opening performance between Coldplay and BTS is just the beginning for this epic two-hour finale. Each of the coaches is set to take the stage tonight performing duets with their remaining team members. The Top 13 from this season are also all expected to return for performances.

This season’s mega-mentor Ed Sheeran is also set to take the stage and former coach Alicia Keys will perform a song off her new album Keys. Also performing on this results episode will be Carrie Underwood with coach John Legend, Keke Palmer, Tori Kelly, and Walker Hayes.

At the end of the episode, a new winner will be crowned. You won’t want to miss a moment of this season finale.
