Britney Spears shared her appreciation for fans who bought her new memoir The Woman in Me, sending it to the top of the best seller list. The book reportedly sold over 1 million copies in the first week of its release.

Britney Spears Celebrates Best-Selling Memoir

According to the Associated Press, The Woman in Me sold 1.1 million copies in the U.S. alone in the first week since it was released on October 24. The book is now a No. 1 New York Times best seller.

“I poured my heart and soul into my memoir, and I am grateful to my fans and readers around the world for their unwavering support,” Spears said in a statement.

The pop star also took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday to thank her fans for helping her achieve the milestone. She wrote that “it means the world to me,” adding, “Love you all.” She added three kiss emojis and reminded fans to grab a copy of the book.

AP also points out that Spears’ recent assertion that her book is “the highest selling celebrity memoir in history” is not accurate. This year alone, Prince Harry’s memoir Spare sold 1.6 million U.S. copies in its first week.

In the past week, Spears’ U.S. streams increased 24 percent. Her album sales went up 61.4 percent, and her digital sales went up 49 percent. The audiobook version of The Woman in Me, read by actress Michelle Williams, has also been popular. It is reportedly the fastest-selling audio release in Gallery’s history.
