Britain’s Got Talent has finally revealed the premiere date for Series 17 of the show, and it’s coming up very soon. A new clip previews some of the acts fans can expect to see during the audition portion of the series.

Britain’s Got Talent Announces Series 17 Premiere Date

Britain’s Got Talent Series 17 will have a two-night premiere on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, on ITV1, ITVX, and STV. The show announced the dates on social media this week, alongside a brief teaser clip for the new series.

“The biggest party on telly is back!” hosts Ant and Dec declare at the start of the teaser, before it cuts to clips from the upcoming auditions. Judge Amanda Holden can be heard saying, “You’ve got two minutes to change your life.”

The auditions featured in the video include several singers and dance groups, as well as a few quirky acts that are sure to get people talking. In one clip, judge Simon Cowell sits on stage with a singer who throws spaghetti in his face.

There will also be an audition from an extreme pogo stick rider, a woman who burps into the microphone, and a group of dancing children in what looks like troll costumes. The video ends with a shot of Holden hitting the Golden Buzzer for an act.

Bruno Tonioli Broke the Golden Buzzer This Year

BGT started filming auditions for Series 17 back in January, so information has already been revealed about what fans can expect when the show returns. One notable moment to look out for is judge Bruno Tonioli breaking the Golden Buzzer.

Apparently, on the first day back, Tonioli hit the Golden Buzzer so hard that it cracked. Fellow judge Alesha Dixon shared a photo of the aftermath on Instagram. This wouldn’t be the first time Tonioli has caused a stir on the show, since he notoriously forgot the rules during his first season last year.

This year, the show is really playing fast and loose with the Golden Buzzer rules, since Cowell and Holden’s kids apparently got to hit it for one of the acts.
