Blake Shelton Lauren Alaina’s “Thicc As Thieves” Dance Trend
Last Saturday, Shelton made an effort to support Alaina in promoting her song collaboration with Lainey Wilson. While backstage at Barefoot Country Music Fest, Alaina herself taught the “Honey Bee” singer the dance steps to the single. Shelton shared on Instagram how he miserably failed to move in sync with Alaina.
“Can’t believe I got talked into this @laurenalaina… Congrats on the new song buddy!!!! Y’all go listen!!!!” he wrote.
In the video, Shelton can be seen completely unaware of the steps but nonetheless enjoying the moment. Such clip was hilarious enough to make his fans happy and cackling.
“Blake, your face was hysterical,” one user commented. “A good laugh. You’re a good sport.”
Meanwhile, one fan praised Shelton’s good sense of humor. Another commented how good it was to see Shelton just savoring the moment and not really minding the technicalities of the dance.
Luke Bryan Pokes Fun at His Dance Moves
Soon after seeing the video, fellow country star Luke Bryan went to the comment section to roast Shelton. Manifestly, Bryan saw Shelton’s “Thick As Thieves” trend take as the perfect opportunity to ignite their friendly rivalry.
“I didn’t think anything could be worse than your singing until now,” he wrote.
The comment has apparently reached traction, obtaining over 4,500 likes as of writing. A lot of users also replied to Bryan’s jab with several laughing emojis.
Alaina and Wilson initiated the dance trend when they released the track back in June 9. With the intention to “celebrate women and their curves,” “Thicc As Thieves” is the newest country dance craze for besties.
