Blake Shelton recently missed the opening night of his wife Gwen Stefani’s new Las Vegas residency with her band No Doubt. However, the country singer had a good excuse, as he was performing his own show at the same time.
Blake Shelton Misses Gwen Stefani’s Las Vegas Opener
On Wednesday night, No Doubt kicked off their new residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Shelton couldn’t attend the show, as he was performing his own Vegas residency down the street at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
TMZ reports that Shelton intends to eventually watch a future No Doubt show when he’s free. Stefani’s three sons (Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo) also apparently missed Wednesday’s show, as it was a school night. The residency runs through June 13.
Shelton spoke about having to miss the show during his own performance on Wednesday night. In a clip from a fan at the show, Shelton can be heard jokingly blaming his manager for booking him and Stefani on “the exact same nights every single night.”

How Long Is Shelton’s Residency?
Shelton’s residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will run through May 24. The country star previously performed a run of six shows at the venue in February 2025 before returning in January of this year. He later added more shows in May.
As for No Doubt, TMZ reports that they kicked off the opening night of their Sphere residency with the song “Tragic Kingdom.” They went on to perform tracks from all of their albums, minus their 2012 project Push and Shove. They reportedly performed a total of 21 songs.
Ahead of opening night, the band’s four members posted a video dancing together on social media, set to their song “Let’s Get Back.” As they wrote in the caption, “This one is for you, No Doubters. Let’s make history.”
