Many social media fans of Gabrielle took to Twitter to revive the trend in support.

One wrote as a caption: ‘Because Black women are incredible, creative and bold… and if y’all could change your hair this much… you would too. Trust me’.

Gabrielle responded to all the love and support shortly after the hashtag went viral. (We’re convinced this has caught the eyes of the top dogs at AGT and rightly so!) :

One particular fan shared a wholesome family photo stating that they’d shared the news with their grandma who said she’d never watch the show again.

Terry Crews is yet to make an official statement on the issue. HERE is our open letter to the America’s Got Talent host pushing him to make up his mind.

Famous faces like Julian Castro have commented on NBC’s lack of involvement

You’ll be happy to know that it’s not just fans that are outraged. Stars such as Jameela Jamil, Ariana Grande and presidential candidate Julian Castro have made expressed support for Union whilst criticising NBC’s lack of involvement.

Castro tweeted: “Corporate America tells employees and consumers they take racism and sexism seriously. But often the person reporting the problem is hurt by management,”

“Kudos to @itsgabrielleu for having the courage to speak out. Still waiting for answers from @nbc.”

Jamil also tweeted saying: “I am lucky to work with really good people at @nbc and am sad and angry to know this has been going on in that same network. I stand with @itsgabrielleu.”

And still no response from NBC…

It’s shameful and embarrassing for a network as big as NBC to refuse to comment on such outright abuse that occurs on it’s biggest shows. As fans are already pulling the plug on their viewership of the show, it won’t be long before AGT is left stranded in a sea of ongoing controversy.

As of the time of publishing, NBC have released a statement:

“We remain committed to ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees and take very seriously any questions about workplace culture,” the statement read. “We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate.”
