Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is a concert film that captures the pop star’s latest tour, which kicked off earlier this year. According to Variety, the Grove was completely closed off for Wednesday’s premiere of the movie.
Among the premiere’s attendees was Beyoncé, who will be releasing her own concert documentary, Renaissance: A Film, on December 1. Like Swift’s film, it will be distributed by AMC Theaters. In the same deal as Swift, Beyoncé will reportedly receive over 50 percent of the movie’s box office grosses.
After the premiere, Swift took to Instagram to share a clip of her and Beyoncé sharing a tub of popcorn in the theater. She wrote in the caption, “I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence.”
“The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms,” she continued. “Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”

Swift Delivers Heartfelt Speech to Fans
According to TMZ, over 2,000 Swifties were invited to the Eras Tour movie premiere, which took over multiple theaters at the Grove’s AMC. Swift went around to the various theaters to deliver speeches for the attendees.
“I’m always looking out for people with elevated levels of passion, incredible senses of humor on the internet, attention to detail. These things are very important to me,” Swift said, explaining that premiere attendees were “hand-selected and handpicked … because you’ve shown some type of extra support for this tour.”
Swift also announced Wednesday on social media that early showings have been added for the film on Thursday, before the official premiere on Friday, October 13. Tickets for the early shows, as well as additional showings over the weekend, are available now.
