The Backstreet Boys are getting back to their DNA World Tour, which was put on hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group recently announced new dates for the European and UK leg of the tour, and they released a behind-the-scenes video about putting it all together.
Backstreet Boys Announce New DNA World Tour Dates
The Backstreet Boys will return to the stage starting this weekend at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. More North American dates will run through the summer. This fall, they’ll be taking the DNA World Tour to Europe.
According to a press release, the European leg of the tour will kick off in Lisbon, Portugal on October 3. The group will perform in Spain, Germany, Italy, and other European countries before heading to London for one show at The O2 on November 6.
Tickets are on sale Friday, April 8. Members of the Backstreet Army Fan Club can get pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, April 6. Fans can visit the group’s website for a full list of upcoming tour dates. A portion of the ticket sales from the tour will be donated to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to help displaced people in Ukraine and nearby countries.
The Group Is Excited to Get Back on Tour
The Backstreet Boys appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week to talk about how excited they are to finally get back on tour. Kevin Richardson joked that they’ve been “sitting at home, eating, waiting to go out on the road.”
“Honestly, I feel like now, especially with the way everything is in the world, entertainment is so needed right now,” Nick Carter shared. “Our job is so important.”
AJ McLean said the members’ kids were glad to have them home for the past two years. Clarkson asked how their wives felt, and McLean joked that they told them to go back to work. Carter pointed out that he and his wife Lauren Kitt welcomed two babies since the tour first kicked off in 2019.
The group recently posted the first episode of their new YouTube series “Making Of The DNA Tour.” This episode features McLean talking about the group’s performance style. New episodes will premiere weekly on their channel.
