Was Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul supposed to be announced as a contestant on the upcoming new season of Dancing with the Stars? According to rumors, the news would have been shared on Paul’s canceled season of The Bachelorette.
Was Taylor Frankie Paul Supposed to Be on DWTS?
Earlier this week, the gossip account Deuxmoi posted an anonymous message claiming that Taylor Frankie Paul would have been announced as a new cast member on DWTS this month, with a date on The Bachelorette to “set up the announcement.”
Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was set to premiere last month, but it was canceled by ABC following an alleged domestic violence incident involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Paul was set to be the first Bachelorette star from outside Bachelor Nation.
According to Deuxmoi’s tip, DWTS is now interested in getting former Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams in the ballroom instead. However, fans reportedly shouldn’t expect an announcement “for a few months.” The tip added that Traitors stars Rob Rausch and Maura Higgins are also in talks to compete on DWTS.

Paul’s Co-Stars Competed Last Year
Last year, Taylor Frankie Paul’s Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt competed on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. Affleck was partnered with pro dancer Jan Ravnik and placed ninth.
Leavitt, meanwhile, competed with pro dancer Mark Ballas. The pair made it to sixth place, being eliminated right before the season finale. There was much talk about Leavitt’s elimination, as she was consistently one of the strongest celebrity dancers in the competition.
Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was released on Hulu last month. Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars is expected to premiere this fall on ABC and Disney+.
