Artem Chigvintsev Will Return to ‘DWTS’ Live” Tour After Battling Pneumonia

Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev will soon return to the DWTS Live tour. For the past month, he’s been battling pneumonia and has been through two courses of antibiotics. He left the DWTS Live tour abruptly on January 20 due to his health issues.
After a month long fight with pneumonia, Chigvintsev will be returning to the ballroom for the rest of the DWTS Live tour. His fiancée, AGT: Extreme judge, Nikki Bella shared that Chigvintsev is currently “feeling great.”
Artem Chigvintsev May Be Returning to The DWTS Live Tour
Before this update, fans knew that the professional dancer was on the road to recovery after a social media update video on February 3. In the video he shared that his second x-ray was also positive for pneumonia. At the time of the update, he did not share an anticipated return date to the tour.
“He just got word from his doctor yesterday,” Bella said recently. “His scans came back and he’s cleared. His lungs are officially cleared. We’re so happy because his last scan they weren’t seeing a lot of hope. They were talking about him being on an inhaler for the rest of his life and all these different things.”
Bella also shared that her fiancé can’t wait to return to the ballroom. The DWTS Live team has continued to tour around the country amid Chigvintsev’s illness. The tour takes place in 33 different states including New York, California, Florida, and more. Special guests for the tour include season 29 winner Kaitlyn Bristowe, season 30 winner Iman Shumpert, Jimmie Allen, and Amanda Kloots. The tour concludes on March 27, tickets are still available for the remaining shows.
As of right now, Chigvintsev has not shared any information about his health on social media nor an expected date of return to the tour. The show’s tour page has also not shared any information in regards to Chigvintsev’s return.
