Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson Fan Shocks With Demi Lovato Cover
Ryleigh Plank took to The Voice stage after her biography story that included both “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson and “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande. To our surprise, she didn’t sing a song by either of the artists. Instead, she sang a beautiful rendition of “Anyone” by Demi Lovato.
Not only did she have the vocal range for this song, she also presented a fierce passion behind her voice. This singer talked about experiencing depression and anxiety, so her song choice really expressed that a more lyrical tune fits her very well. I think Lovato’s music was a strong choice for her blind audition since Lovato is notorious for heartfelt songs.
Clarkson was seen turning her chair first for the artist, next came Grande. I cannot even imagine what went through her mind in this moment.
“This is so crazy because I grew up singing your songs as a kid,” said Ryleigh. “Same with Ariana, you guys have helped me get to where I am so it’s really amazing to be here.”
I’m sure she had a mental argument between the two artists considering her love of both singers. She was pondering her decision so long that both Clarkson and Grande offered their coaches gift to her.
Could She Win the Season?
Both Clarkson and Grande expressed that she could win the competition when they were trying to get her to choose their teams. I was absolutely jaw dropped when Ryleigh was on the stage. I completely agree with both of the coaches when they say she could win the season.
In the end, Ryleigh chose Team Ariana. Personally, I thought Team Kelly could’ve been great for this phenomenal singer, but I’m sure she’ll do great on Grande’s team. Ryleigh Plank took one of the last three spots on Team Ariana for this season of The Voice. I cannot wait to see who takes the other two spots.
