Ant McPartlin May Return To ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ In 2019

Britain’s Got Talent‘s long serving co-host Ant McPartlin missed out on the live shows this past season after entering rehab. The network has shelved his show Saturday Night Takeaway until 2020. He also announced he will not be on I Am A Celebrity this season. But the rumors are that he WILL be back next year for BGT.
Ant has long suffered from drug addiction and depression. He entered rehab in April after a drunk driving arrest. Britain’s Got Talent aired the pre-taped segments that featured Ant but he was absent from the live shows. His longtime partner, Declan Donnelly, hosted on his own. Simon Cowell has made it clear that Ant is always welcome back on the show.
No official announcement has been made but sources close to Ant say that, at least for now, he plans on coming back for the 2019 BGT. That gives him a good six more months or so of rehab to get his ish together. It’s not easy to control substance abuse and deal with mental illness. We just hope he is able to heal and cope because the show isn’t the same without him.
