‘American Song Contest’ Winner AleXa Bags K-Global Rising Star Award, Embarks on American Tour

American Song Contest winner AleXa has a lot going on nearly five months after the competition. This K-pop singer recently won the award for K Global Rising Star at the K Global Heart Dream Awards and she is set to embark on her first US tour this October.
AleXa Wins at the K-Global Heart Dream Awards
Hosted by Jun So Min and Lee Yong Jin, the 2022 K-Global Heart Dream Awards has announced its winners on August 25. The stellar award ceremony took place at the Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium in Seoul, Korea.
AleXa secured the K-Global Rising Star Award as a recognition of her promising career in the Korean entertainment industry. The singer is among the three awardees, including TNX and BLITZERS. The singer also performed her single “Wonderland” onstage. On Instagram, she expressed her appreciation for her supporters.
“So grateful to have received the K-arising Star Award at this year’s 2022 K Global Heart Dream Awards!! Thank you so much for your unwavering support!!” she wrote. “I hope you enjoyed the ‘Wonderland’ stage~!”
Fans responded to her post, saying that her trophy was “well-deserved.” AleXa also uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of her experience in the event, showing her shiny purple boots which greatly complemented her black nails and ash violet hair.
Her First American Tour Begins in October
The American Song Contest winner is currently preparing to embark on her first tour which will start in October. Events production company Studio PAV confirmed that AleXa will go to eight different American cities. She will kick off the tour in Jersey City, New Jersey, and conclude in Los Angeles, California.
Ticket sales started on August 26. Apart from VIP, T2, and T3 tickets, fans can also purchase a separate meet and greet package. T3 (lowest tier) tickets cost $39, while top tier VIP tickets cost an upwards of $170 depending on the location.
What Has the American Song Contest Winner Been Up To?
After nailing her landslide win on the debut season of American Song Contest, AleXa continues to reach major milestones. Although she has not released any new singles after “Wonderland,” other career opportunities have lined up.
Her American Song Contest hit song, “Wonderland” has recently hit the landmark of five million streams on Spotify. Furthermore, she performed at the TOP GUN: Maverick premiere in South Korea. Aside from that, she made her acting debut anthology horror movie, Urban Myths.
AleXa’s latest trophy is only an addition to the awards she obtained this year. She won the Next Artist Award at the Soribada Best K-Music Awards and she bagged two awards at the Asia Artist Awards, Focus Singer Award and Potential Award – Female.
