Hunter Metts has kept very busy since his Top 7 elimination on Season 19 of American Idol this year. He just announced that he will be joining Francisco Martin’s fall tour. Francisco finished in the Top 5 on Season 18. He released his debut EP Beautiful Ramblings of a Restless Mind in May.

Hunter Metts is Going on Tour with ‘American Idol’ Buddy Francisco Martin

Francisco and Hunter announced the news with a couple of silly Instagram posts. Francisco edited a bunch of photos of the pair together visiting a beach, the Eiffel Tower, and in a kitchen with Gordon Ramsay. His 132,000 followers are very excited to see the American Idol heartthrobs go on tour together.

“I’m so pumped to be sharing the stage with this outstanding musician,” Francisco captioned the post. “Literally one of my favorite people to work with.”

Francisco returned in Season 19 to accompany his brother Kiko to his American Idol audition. The judges could not be more delighted to see him. They marveled at all of his success since competing on the show. For fans, it was the best surprise ever to see him on our television screens again.

Did Hunter Get a Record Deal After Competing on the Show?

Hunter posted about the tour over on his Instagram account. He also added a funny photo to the announcement. He drew stick figures to represent him and Francisco on stage. The Tennessee native added microphone emojis to really make the drawing come to life. Francisco and Hunter definitely have the same sense of humor.

Hunter said in a recent interview that he has not been approached for a record deal yet, but has not ruled out the possibility of releasing his music independently. He updated fans in July about everything he has been up to since American Idol wrapped filming in May. He teased that he booked more shows, recorded a record, and has just been busy practicing.

Francisco signed with 19 Recordings after competing in Season 18. It’s very possible that Hunter’s dynamic songwriting abilities will land him the same kind of deal after growing a huge fanbase from the show. Until Hunter nabs that big record deal we all know he is going to get, you can check him out on tour.

Tickets for all tour dates are currently available. The first tour date is set to kick off on October 20 in California. They will travel throughout the U.S. until the final tour date in Texas on November 13.
