‘American Idol’s Gabby Barrett Shares Sweet Video of Daughter Singing

American Idol Season 16 finalist Gabby Barrett’s daughter might be following in her parents’ musical footsteps. Gabby recently posted a video to Instagram showing 1-year-old Baylah May singing into a microphone.
Gabby Barrett Posts Video of Daughter Singing
On Wednesday, Gabby posted a black and white video to Instagram showing Baylah holding a microphone up to her mouth and singing. Although she didn’t say any specific words or follow a particular tune, it was still a cute moment.
“My girl. Singin to mama!” the 22-year-old country singer wrote in the caption of the clip. Fans were loving the video, commenting heart emojis. One follower even wrote, “I hear the potential!!”
Both of Baylah’s parents are musical. Her father, Gabby’s husband Cade Foehner, was also on American Idol Season 16, making it to the Top 5 while Gabby finished third. They met during their time on the show and got married in 2019. Cade is also Gabby’s guitarist.
In June, Gabby posted a photo of herself holding Baylah on stage during a rehearsal for a Florida show, with Cade playing guitar. Gabby wrote, “She gets to see what mommy & daddy get to do!”

The Couple Is Expecting Another Baby
Baylah was born in January of 2021. On Mother’s Day of this year, Gabby and Cade announced that they’re expecting their second child together. This time, they’re having a boy. The couple posted an ultrasound video to share the news.
Gabby is currently on tour with Jason Aldean, but she’s set to depart early to go on maternity leave after the August 27 show. The couple hasn’t announced a due date, but Gabby said in a May interview that she was at the beginning of the second trimester of her pregnancy.
The singer has had a lot of success since her time on American Idol, with both her debut single “I Hope” and her 2020 album Goldmine. Her latest single is called “Pick Me Up.”
