Fritz Hager Teases New Song on Social Media
On Tuesday, Fritz posted a video explaining that he “just got this demo back,” and didn’t think he was supposed to share it. However, that didn’t stop him from playing the song in the background and asking fans to “please blow this up so I can release it.”
Fritz sat back and let the song play, dancing and mouthing along, and even throwing his arms up into the air with excitement. It’s clear that he loves how it sounds and wants to share it with fans.
“Oh, it feels like a fire starting / You call my name, and oh, we’re falling,” Fritz sings on the track. “I can’t see straight / Your lips taste like another mistake / Touch me like you mean it / But I don’t think that I’ll see you again / You pull me away / I wanna pull you closer / And I don’t even know your name.”
Fans in the comments are sharing their praise for the sound. Even Season 20 Idol runner-up HunterGirl commented, writing, “FRITZY DROP THIS FIRE.” He responded, “I WANT TO SO BADDDD.”

What Has Fritz Been Up to Since American Idol?
Fritz Hager was a fan favorite on American Idol Season 20, so it came as a bit of a shock when he faced elimination before the finale. However, he’s not letting that stop him from continuing to pursue a career in music. His fans clearly have his back.
Recently, Fritz was voted the winner of Live with Kelly and Ryan‘s American Idol Encore contest to give an eliminated contestant a chance to perform on the show. He sang his original single “Hearts Align.” The singer also recently hit 100,000 followers on Instagram.
Fritz posted last week that he’ll be performing a gig on July 16 in his hometown of Tyler, Texas, at Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ. Fans who want to attend can buy tickets here.
