Did you know that American Idol Season 16 winner Maddie Poppe has a talent for DIY home projects? The singer shared some of the things she’s done around the house during Monday night’s Journey to the Finale special.

Maddie Poppe Shares DIY Projects on American Idol

“I don’t really have a choice but to do it on my own,” Poppe said of her many house projects. “But that’s what makes it so great. There’s a sense of instant gratification that is nice.”

Poppe took everyone around her house to show off the results of her hard work. For example, she put an electric fireplace in her living room and installed the faucet in her kitchen sink. Poppe shared that she was “under there for a couple hours.”

Then she shared her plans for a closet with a sliding door and shoe racks. Poppe also joked that she “destroyed the bathroom,” then laughed at how that sounded. The singer even pretended to host her own show called American Drywall.

“She can sing and do this? It’s crazy,” Poppe said of herself, before sending things back to host Ryan Seacrest.

Poppe Recently Announced She’s Going on Tour

Poppe recently announced that she’s heading out on a headlining tour this summer, with dates in July and August. The singer will be traveling to various cities around the United States, with tickets available through her website.

When Poppe’s done with her summer tour, she’ll also be joining singer Joshua Radin as a guest performer during several tour dates this September. So there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to see her live this year.

Last week, Poppe debuted a new single called “Good Enough to Let You Go.” Combined with the other songs she’s released in recent months, the singer is getting our hopes up for another album sometime soon.
