According to a press release, “Can’t Do Without Me” (produced by Ross Copperman) is about a couple’s reunion. It’s being described as “irresistibly steamy” with “a heart-pounding, high-energy beat,” and we can’t wait to hear it.

“Working with Lindsay on this song was a blast,” Beckham said in a statement. “Being in the studio with such a talented artist really took this song to another level for me.”

The feeling is apparently mutual. Ell said the song “hit me like lightning,” adding, “Chayce, wow, did he bring it on this song. I had heard so many great things about him but he more than understood the assignment on this one.”

The song will be available Monday, November 29. You can pre-save it now.

Who Is Beckham’s Collaborator Lindsay Ell?

Lindsay Ell is a Canadian singer whose country album The Project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart in 2017. She recently joined The Voice coach Blake Shelton on his Heroes & Friends Tour.

Ell is also currently the host of Canada’s Got Talent, and she’s the most-nominated female artist at this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards, which will air on Monday, November 29 — the same day as her song with Beckham. Ell will also co-host the awards with Canada’s Drag Race winner Priyanka.

Beckham, meanwhile, was crowned the winner of American Idol Season 19 earlier this year. As part of his time on the show, the singer released the single “23.” He had written it the year prior about his struggles with substance abuse. It ended up reaching No. 1 on the iTunes chart.

Mark your calendars for Monday when “Can’t Do Without Me” will officially be released.
