Chayce Beckham Reflects on ‘American Idol’ After Luke Combs Tour Announcement
The Season 19 American Idol winner recently joined 3 Doors Down for three tour dates on their Better Life 20th Anniversary Tour. He will also be playing three more shows of his own in October across the United States. Through all of the exciting new opportunities he has been given, Chayce has reflected on how much his life has changed by winning American Idol.
“I gave up on my dreams and was really starting to question my future and purpose in this world,” Chayce wrote on Instagram. “My drinking and self care was out of hand, I can say I was pretty defeated before I ever turned 24. This world can chew you up and spit you back out as it did to me time after time. But we all know how that story goes. I’ve been blessed with an incredible purpose in this world, and I can’t express to you how good it feels to stand up on these stages and truly know what that purpose is.”
Chayce has been teasing new music constantly over on his Instagram. He has been in the studio with Ross Copperman, the man behind his hit song “23” that he debuted on American Idol. In one candid post, Chayce wrote that he has been “working endlessly” and “creating endlessly” on new songs.
He did debut some new songs at recent shows that he has played. His fans posted some clips on YouTube and these songs do not disappoint at all. He performed “I Almost Wrote a Song About You” at Summerfest and “Addicted and Clean” at the Ole Smokey Distillery.
