Season 17 American Idol favorite Laci Kaye Booth just announced that she has finally come out with an original collection of music. The eight-song EP was produced by Dann Huff under BMLG Records. Fans have been anxiously waiting for Laci’s music since she competed on the show in 2019.
Laci Kaye Booth Finally Announces New Original Music on the Way
“It’s finally time to tell y’all what I’ve been working so hard on,” Laci wrote on Instagram. “My new self-titled collection of music will be available everywhere on August 6th. Creating this music has been the biggest thrill of my life, and I believe taking these past two years to just work & write has only made me a better writer, artist, and human.”
She also shared a very short sneak peek at what sounds like one of her songs. Funky instrumentals play in the background of the Instagram video that shows a close-up of Laci’s dress and boots but nothing more. Could this mean that a music video is coming soon too? Laci posted a short clip of what looks to be an upcoming music video back in June. She did not go into further detail about the video just yet.
Since Laci has been working on this EP for two years, it is absolutely going to blow our minds. Her soothing voice is one that American Idol judge Katy Perry absolutely loved from the start. Perry even commented that she will be attending Laci’s Stagecoach performance next year.
Laci’s fellow American Idol alums took to the comments section of her music announcement to say how excited they are. Katie Belle, Evelyn Cormier, Olivia Ximines, and Lauren Mascitti all showed their support on the post. Actress Lucy Hale even wrote thats she is “so ready” for the new music.
“YESS!! Ah I’m so excited for you girl, you deserve it all! I can’t wait to play this record on repeat,” Season 18 contestant Grace Leer commented.
