‘American Idol’ Runner-Up Megan Danielle to Open for Maddie Poppe

American Idol Season 21 runner-up Megan Danielle is set to open for Season 16 winner Maddie Poppe at an upcoming show in Sioux City, Iowa. The pair will appear next month at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Anthem venue.
American Idol Star Megan Danielle to Open for Maddie Poppe
The concert will take place on Friday, July 21. Fans can buy tickets for the upcoming event on the venue’s website. All attendees must be 21 or older, and the doors will open one hour before the show.
Maddie Poppe won Season 16 of American Idol in 2018, during the show’s first year on its new network ABC. She released her debut studio album Whirlwind the next year, and has put out several more singles in the years since. Poppe is currently on tour around the United States.
Earlier this year, Megan Danielle came in second place during Season 21 of the show, losing to winner Iam Tongi. The singer previously competed on The Voice Season 18, making it all the way to the Semifinals before being eliminated.

Danielle Has Been Recording New Music
As part of her time on American Idol, Danielle released a single called “Dream Girl,” which was co-written by former Idol star Laci Kaye Booth alongside Logan Wall. The song has a positive message about following your dreams.
Danielle’s previous singles “Top of the World” and “All Around” are available to hear on streaming. The singer has also teased that she’s working on new music to share with fans. Earlier this month, she posted an Instagram video of herself in the recording booth.
She also recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of her experience recording “Dream Girl,” writing in the caption that she’s “been blessed to be able to continue to record new songs that I can’t wait to share with you.”
